The Marine Industry Foundation announced its first grants at a fund raising luncheon held at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron attended by industry identities and Foundation Patrons Kay Cottee AO and Jeff d’Albora; Jessica Watson OAM and guest speaker Rob Mundle OAM. The Foundation was established in 2015 to broaden community access to the benefits of recreational boating and to assist the marine industry to grow and develop as a significant provider of social, recreational and employment opportunities.
The Marine Industry Foundation conducted its first public fundraising and grants presentation function at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron on Friday 15 July.
The Marine Industry Foundation was launched in late 2015 with the twin objectives of: a) providing support to disadvantaged groups and groups disconnected from recreational boating with access to boating experiences and skills and b) providing opportunities for employment, education and training within the marine industry.
The Marine Industry Foundation's first Fund Raising Luncheon on Friday 15th July was enjoyed by an enthusiastic and very generous room full of guests at the spectacular Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.
